Each year on 14 October, the members of the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and International Telecommunication Union (ITU) celebrate World Standards Day, which is a means of paying tribute to the collaborative efforts of the thousands of experts worldwide who develop the voluntary technical agreements that are published as international standards.
In addition to participating in worship, here at the Bethel Baptist Church, the Bureau of Standards Jamaica (BSJ) will celebrate the achievements of its Technical Committee members in a private function during this week of celebration.
On Wednesday 11 October 2017, the BSJ will launch its renovated laboratories: the Energy Efficiency Laboratory, the Mass Laboratory and the Dimensional Laboratory. A new website will be presented to the public and a new logo will be unveiled.
