The Quality Institute (QI) provides training and other technical solutions for industry, through the delivery of information and instructions on the requirements, systems, processes and methods described by local, regional and international standards.

It has as its vision and mission the following:

The Vision of the QI is to be the premier provider of training for all customers in certified management systems, along with related management system initiatives, technical services and professional development program. 

The Mission of the QI is to support BSJ goals and improve our clients’ satisfaction by providing high-quality training programs for all our customers.

The QI delivers various training types / modes, these include:

• In-Plant / On-site training 

• Industry Focused Training

• Attachment Training

Individuals, Small and Medium-sized entities (SMEs), institutions and other types of organizations are provided with information and tools that enable understanding of standards and technical competencies which aid in the development and promotion of a quality culture, and the establishment of world class industries for trade. The QI’s services are provided to the public and private sectors, as well as government and other groupings within industry.

The Unit currently offers technical training solutions in:

• All the major management systems at various levels including:

  • Food Safety - Element Food Safety, GMP, HACCP ISO 22000

  • Quality Management System - ISO 9001, Developing QM, IA and audit related courses

  • Environmental Management system

  • Occupational Health and Safety - ISO 45001

  • Risk Management- ISO 31000

  • Laboratory requirement- ISO 17025

• Other Technical trainings including:

  • Dangerous Goods, Can seam analysis, Building Codes, Labelling, Project Management, Microbiological Identification, Business Continuity and Cost of Quality Training

• Online Training Courses will include:
