The Bureau of Standards Jamaica (BSJ) / National Compliance and Regulatory Authority (NCRA) are issuing an immediate recall of all 18" standing fans, with the brand name VideoCon bearing the model number: VC-1881PP, which were imported by VideoCon Trading Limited located at 65-67 Orange Street, Kingston. While undergoing abnormal operation and overload tests in the BSJ laboratory, the fan motors burnt in both situations. 

Persons who have purchased the VideoCon brand of fans are being advised to check for model number: VC-1881PP and any person in possession of any of these fans are advised to stop using them immediately and return same to the point of purchase, as these are a safety hazard.
